Celtics vs. Timberwolves Stat Pack

*February 5, 1995: the last time the Celtics and Timberwolves met in Boston without Kevin Garnett being on either one of their rosters
–Starting power forwards that night: Dino Radja (Bos) and Christian Laettner (Min)

*The Timberwolves are playing their 5th game on no rest on the road this season.
–Minnesota has a 0-4 record in those contests this season.

*With their 28-17 first quarter on Sunday, the Timberwolves helped their league’s best numbers in the first 12 minutes in 2013-14.
–Their 30 points and +4.4 scoring differential per first quarter this season are by far the highest in the NBA in 2013-14.

*Avery Bradley is shooting 61 percent (14-of-23) from 3-point in December

*Sunday was just the second time in Kevin Martin’s career that he started and went scoreless.
–Both games were interestingly in Memphis.

*Corey Brewer doubled his season-high in rebounds with 12 on Sunday.
–That was only the 3rd time in his career with at least that many boards (first time since 2009).

*Kevin Love’s 21 double-doubles and 13.6 rebounds per game lead all NBA players in 2013-14.
–He has just 2 games this season in which he has not registered a double-double, but he has scored at least 10 points in each of his last 26 games, dating back to 2012-13.

*Love has scored at least 30 points in back-to-back road games for only the third time in his career.
–No player has scored at least 30 points in 3 consecutive road games this season.
–The Celtics remain the only team in the NBA to not allow a 30-point performance against them this season.

*Love’s 15.1 career points per game against the men in green stand as his 2nd-worst mark versus any team in the NBA.

*Jeff Green has made at least one 3-pointer in each of his last 13 games.
–It is no Kyle Korver streak, but it is Jeff Green’s 2nd-longest career streak (longest one by Green was 15 from January 16 to February 21, 2010 with the Thunder).

*Kelly Olynyk is still a perfect 19-of-19 from the line this season.
–That is the most made free throws of anybody with a perfect free-throw percentage this season.
–Next most: 13 for Jeremy Lamb and 12 for Brian Roberts

*Recent Meetings: Celtics vs. Timberwolves
–The last time the Timberwolves won in Boston was 2005 (7 consecutive C’s home victories).
–The overall leading scorer that night was Ricky Davis with 22 for the Celtics.
–That night, Kevin Garnett led all the Wolves in scoring with 21 points.
