overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 1969 NBA Draft, after Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
In 1990, he was honored as the Wheelchair Athlete of the Year. He has been in a
wheelchair since 1988 after doctors discovered a benign tumor enveloping his
spine.
